No. Because your employee has not clearly indicated his intention to resign. Therefore, after attempting to reach him (or his relatives) by telephone, send him a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to find out the reasons for his absence and to require him to return to his workstation. And, if after a possible dunning letter, he still does not justify this absence, you can then regard his absence as a job abandonment and consider dismissing him, eventually, for gross misconduct, especially if the job abandonment has damaging consequences on the proper functioning of your company.
