As of July 1st, 2023, business formalities must be completed electronically via an electronic one-stop shop accessible via the website: formalites.entreprises.gouv.fr.

Companies, regardless of their legal form (micro-enterprise, sole proprietorship or company) and their field of activity (commercial, artisanal, liberal, agricultural) must therefore use it for all their formalities of creation (registration), modification (changes relating to the establishment, activity or managers), cessation of activity as well as filing their annual accounts.

Note: The filing of company accounts with the registries of the commercial courts in a “printed” form remains possible.

However, due to the malfunctions that the one-stop shop has experienced since it was put into service, a so-called “back-up” procedure had been put in place, thus allowing companies to complete their modification and deregistration formalities on the site: infogreffe.fr.

End of the back-up procedure

In this respect, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance had announced that the one-stop shop was “fully functional” after having been the subject of numerous changes and corrections, both technical and ergonomic, based on feedback from users, professional federations, and all institutional partners.

However, the back-up procedure ended on December 31st, because it is a source of dysfunction, particularly for the transfer of information to the national register of companies (RNE(1)) or SIRENE(2).

Clarification: According to the ministry, efforts will be continued to facilitate the use of the one-stop shop. Thus, the site should undergo significant improvements in terms of ergonomics to facilitate the user’s journey and to lead to a second version of the site in mid-2025. To be continued...

It should be remembered that to support businesses in the use of the one-stop shop, the assistance of the INPI, which manages the one-stop shop, has been strengthened: the INPI Direct call number (01 56 65 89 98) is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on working days.
