Conciliation proceedings

The conciliation proceedings are intended to allow a company in financial difficulty to enter into an amicable agreement with its main creditors, under the supervision of a court-appointed conciliator, to put an end to its difficulties. Due to the crisis, the maximum duration of these proceedings is increased from 5 to 10 months.

Deferral of social security contributions

In order to preserve the cash flow of companies and self-employed persons in the context of this second lock-down of the population, the Urssaf introduces a general deferral of social contributions normally due in December.

Health protocol

Traders are required to adhere to the stricter health protocol to able to welcome customers in their stores. A protocol that applies to all traders, i.e., both those who reopened on 28th of November and those who remained open during the lock-down.

Minimum wage

As of January 1st, 2021, the minimum wage is expected to increase between 1% and 1.2%, according to the Prime Minister. The gross hourly amount, which in 2020 amounts to €10.15, could therefore be between €10.25 and €10.27, as of January 1st, 2021.
