Long-term partial activity

To support companies facing a sustainable decline in their activity, the government has created a specific partial activity scheme, called “long-term partial activity” (APLD - Activité Partielle de Longue Durée). It allows companies to resort to this scheme if they keep employees on their payroll.

Fixed-term and temporary employments

With a company-wide general work agreement, employers are allowed, until December 31, 2020, to deviate from the legal restrictions governing the use of fixed-term employment contracts (CDD) and mission contracts entered into within the framework of temporary work.

Corporate Mediation

The Business Ombudsman has been particularly busy since the beginning of the health crisis, as the number of applications increased from 60 per week to 600 from the time of the stay-at-home order. Between March 16 and June 16, 2020, it received more than 5,000 requests for mediation.

Solidarity Fund

The maximum monthly aid of € 1,500 under the solidarity fund, set up to help small businesses through the economic crisis linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, has been extended, for the most affected sectors (tourism, catering, shows, etc.), for losses incurred during July, August and September 2020.
